Greater Texas Names Bastrop Native to Manage Local Branch

Bastrop native Jennifer Castillo has been named Branch Manager at Greater Texas Credit Union.

After 20 years of working at the credit union, Castillo now officially manages the branch, where she oversees the staff, member services, and branch development and growth as well as carrying out Greater Texas’ mission of delivering the greatest banking experience.

“I am humbled about being chosen to oversee this branch,” said Castillo. “I am also excited about the new opportunities I’ve been given to serve our members, who are also my friends and family.”

Besides serving members, Castillo is tasked with increasing Greater Texas’ involvement in civic and community initiatives. She is already working to establish seminars on financial well-being, along with classes on financial management and budgeting for high school students. She also wants to get staff involved in volunteering with the Bastrop Food Pantry and other nonprofits.

“Our members rely on Jennifer and trust her immensely,” said Lole Nunez, Assistant Vice President, Market Development & Operations. “She is well respected in the community and is deserving of this promotion.”
